Rooted in history. Focused on the future.

How We Advance Our Mission
Our work is implemented through four strategic pillars designed to celebrate culture while expanding access and opportunity.
Alumni & Community Engagement
We create spaces where HBCU alumni and supporters can gather, reconnect, and build community. Signature events like our annual Mile High HBCU Weekend strengthen cultural pride while fostering intergenerational connection.
Scholarship Access & Financial Support
We mobilize donors, sponsors, and partners to increase financial access for students pursuing HBCU education. Through fundraising and strategic partnerships, we work to reduce barriers and expand pathways to higher education.
HBCU Awareness & College Access Education
Many Colorado students and families are unaware of the academic excellence and supportive environments that HBCUs offer. Through student resources, school outreach, and community education efforts, we increase awareness and provide practical tools for navigating the college journey.
Student Mentorship & Career Pathways
We are building structured opportunities for alumni to mentor, guide, and support students beyond high school and into their professional futures. By connecting legacy to leadership development, we help ensure long-term success.

Why This Work Matters
Historically Black Colleges and Universities have produced leaders across industries for generations. Yet in states like Colorado, awareness and access remain limited.
Mile High HBCU Weekend, Inc. exists to close that gap.
By preserving HBCU legacy, strengthening alumni networks, and expanding educational access, we ensure that students not only see HBCUs as an option — but have the support and community needed to thrive.
